Property: White particle or powder, appearant density 0.35-0.90g/cm3, melting point 622ºC. Easily soluble in water, aqueous solution is alkali. Hydrolyze to orthophosphate in water, complexing with calcium, magnesium, iron and other metal ions and generate soluble complex. As inorganic surfactant, it has certain properties of organic surfactants.

It is mainly used for synthetic detergent as additive, soap synergist and preventing soap grease from separating out and blooming. There is a strong emulsifying effect on lubricating oil, oil fat and can be used to adjust the PH value of buffer soap solution. What's more, it is used as dispersant when preparing suspensions in industries, such as industrial water softener, tanning pretanning agent, dyeing assistant, paint, kaolin, magnesium oxide, calcium carbonate, etc. It is used as dispersant for drilling mud and as anti-oil agent in paper industry.
