Product Description

Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a general designation of homopolymers of acrylamide or copolymerized with other monomers. It is one of the most widely used water-soluble polymers. Because the structural unit of polyacrylamide contains amide group, it is easy to form hydrogen bond, which makes it have good water solubility and high chemical activity. It is easy to obtain a variety of modifiers with branch chain or network structure by grafting or cross-linking. It is widely used in oil exploitation, water treatment, textile, paper making, mineral processing, medicine, agriculture and other industries, and it is called "one hundred industry auxiliaries".

Use guide
1) Polyacrylamide is an organic high molecular compound, which can be divided into anionic polyacrylamide, cationic polyacrylamide and non-ionic polyacrylamide;
2) Anionic polyacrylamide is generally used as flocculant in wastewater treatment and cationic polyacrylamide is generally used for sludge dewatering;
3) As a flocculant, the dosage is generally 1-2ppm, i.e. 1-2g for each ton of wastewater treatment;
4) When used, the anionic type is generally prepared into about 0.1% aqueous solution, while the cationic type can be prepared into 0.1% - 0.5%;
5) When preparing the solution, first add water into the dissolving tank, then turn on the mixer, and then slowly add PAM along the vortex. PAM cannot be put into operation quickly at one time, otherwise, PAM will agglomerate and form "fish eye" which cannot be dissolved;
6) After PAM is added, it should be stirred for more than 30min to ensure its full dissolution;
7) The dissolved PAM should be used as soon as possible. Generally, the anionic PAM should not be used for more than 36 hours. The Cationic PAM is easy to hydrolyze after dissolution and should be used within 24 hours.
